Overview
Italianate landscape painter, Pynacker’s first career was that of a wine merchant. Traveling in that capacity he met Delft painter Adam Pick who helped him establish a career as a painter. Primarily known as a Delft painter, Pynacker is also associated with his home city of Schiedam and spent some years painting in Italy. Among his patrons was the Brandenburg royal court at Lenzen in Germany.
