Jeffrey Milstein, born in Bronx, NY in 1944, is a Woodstock, NY-based photographer renowned for his aerial photography. Initially trained as an architect at UC Berkeley, he transitioned to a photography career in 2000. Milstein, a seasoned pilot since the age of 17, merged his passion for flying with photography. His early focus captured the unique perspective of planes landings, revealing the aircraft's underbelly.

These series were featured in a solo exhibition at the Ulrich Museum of Art in 2008 and later showcased in a year-long solo exhibition at the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum in 2012.

More recently, Milstein has flipped the camera to capture a Birds-eye view, giving us a exclusive perspective to the world around us. These photographs range from manmade landscapes and cityscapes to unobstructed nature like our Hudson Valley Fall 02, 2019, a wonderful image, as titled, of the autumn forest in the Hudson valley. The artist very vividly captures the charm of central New York; the warm colors of the trees, falling leaves, the crip fall air, all felt through his work. His ability to convey the essence of locations, as seen in this work, demonstrates his profound connection to the subjects he captures and his long-standing ability to create evocative images.

Milstein's artistry has been featured in publications of global acclaim, including the New York Times, LA Times, The Guardian, Esquire, Fortune, Time, Harper’s, GQ, European Photography, American Photo, Eyemazing, Graphis, photomagazin, Die Zeit, Liberation, Wired, PDN, and Conde Nast Traveler.
