Description
Amazon Lily was taken in the early 1930’s as Dr. Dain Tasker was in the early days of exploring what and x-ray approach to photographing flowers would reveal. He felt it was a viable technique in photography to explore and he was right that the artistic and sensual quality of the images was alluring. Everything from the sensuality of the tone of the paper to the slick and transluscent quality expressed in the flower, was an aesthetic that further revealed the beauty of these flowers as an artistic image. Tasker went on to explore his artistic side as a photographer even though he was a radiologist at Wilshire Hospital in Los Angeles.
