Edgar Plans (b. 1977) is a contemporary painter and designer known for his playful, abstract compositions and his exploration of space, structure, and color. Plans’ work often incorporates geometric forms and a keen sense of rhythm, inviting viewers to engage both visually and conceptually with the imagery on the canvas.
Plans trained at the Facultad de Bellas Artes de Valencia, where he developed a foundation in fine art and later expanded his artistic vocabulary through experimentation with abstraction, graphic elements, and architectural motifs. His paintings and drawings frequently explore the tension between flatness and depth, combining layered shapes, bold color fields, and dynamic patterns that evoke architectural drawing, musical notation, or abstract cartography.
Plans’ work has been exhibited internationally in galleries and art fairs throughout Europe and beyond, and he has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions. His visual language bridges fine art and design, reflecting a contemporary sensibility that is both intellectual and visually engaging. Collectors and institutions value his work for its visual clarity, sense of play, and innovative approach to abstraction in the 21st century.
