March Avery American, b. b. 1932

Overview

March Avery grew up in Greenwich Village. Artists such as Mark Rothko, Adolf Gottlieb, Barnett Newman, and Marsden Hartley were frequent visitors to the Avery household. She continues to paint to this day, splitting her time between a studio in downtown Manhattan and France.  Avery exhibits regularly in New York City and throughout the United States. Her works may be found in numerous private collections and public institutions.
