Description
This stunning and beautifully executed nude model in the studio, was done perhaps while Friis was studying at the Académie Julian in Paris. It is an early work and clearly perhaps a work he did in art school. He was already proficient at drawing and here we see his remarkable ability to translate light and backlit form as well.
