Description
CONDITION: These chairs are being offered individually or as a pair, in "as is" condition. This approach often appeals to collectors who appreciate original patina or wish to undertake custom refinishing to suit their preferences.
Both chairs are structurally sound and in stable condition, with no signs of previous repairs. They exhibit typical wear consistent with age and use, including scattered scratches, dings, and surface abrasions to the wood frames, legs, and arms. The armrests display a pleasingly worn patina, with areas where the original varnish has mellowed through use, contrasting with glossier sections elsewhere on the wood.
The primary distinction between the two is the rush seating: one chair retains what appears to be its original rush, with a deeper, warmer tone, while the other has a newer rush seat in a lighter, cooler hue. This difference is clearly visible in the accompanying images.
