Nancy Lorenz is an artist whose work combines post-war abstraction with materials and techniques from Asian and Western craft traditions. The resulting tension that this talented artist creates in her works between traditional compositional concerns as well as the patterns that naturally occur in nature is the driving force in all of her works.

Description

Lorenz is an accomplished artist who is able to balance these ideas in order to create opulent works of striking beauty, as in our Fireworks that is composed of mother-of-Pearl and striking pigment colors, all designed to impart the feeling of an exploding firework display.
