Gustave Madelain French, 1867-1944

Overview

Gustave Madelain established his career as a painter of city scenes created in a Post-Impressionist manner. He debuted at the Salon des Indépendants in 1907 and gained a fine reputation as a painter. He mainly painted street and riverside scenes in Rouen, Le Havre and of course Paris.
